What Kruger moulds, on which machines, in which materials
These are empty enclosures in the vocabulary of IEC 62208:2023, the standard for an enclosure supplied with nothing fitted inside before a panel builder makes it a low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assembly under the IEC 61439 series. Kruger moulds the enclosure, the cover, the terminal cover and the gland. The assembly maker holds the IEC 61439 verification and the product owner holds any listing; we claim neither.
- Empty enclosures: junction boxes, meter boxes, distribution-board bodies and panel enclosures, moulded and assembled
- Terminal covers, cable glands, protection caps and dummy caps at high volume
- Insert-moulded connector caps and terminations: metal inserts loaded into the open mould on the vertical machine and moulded over
- UPS and inverter fronts and covers
- Nylon connector components, unfilled and glass-filled
Nine injection moulding machines: eight horizontal from 60 to 1300 tonnes clamp force and one vertical machine for insert moulding, all with servo drives and SCADA/HMI monitoring. Electrical parts run mostly on the 60 to 650 tonne machines and inserts on the vertical machine, with the 1300 tonne machine for the big housings; part weights run from 10 g to 5.2 kg. Full list: capabilities page.
Plastic shrinks onto a metal insert as it cools, so the wall thickness around the insert and the shape of its edges decide whether the part cracks in service. Our mould-flow review checks that zone before steel is cut.
Materials follow the duty: polycarbonate where the part must take a knock, ABS where finish and cost lead, polypropylene and its copolymer for caps, glands and low-cost enclosures, and nylon 6 and 66, unfilled or 15% and 30% glass-filled, where stiffness and heat matter. Nylon and polycarbonate absorb moisture, so compounds are dried and processed to grade.
One UL 94 V-2 polypropylene copolymer grade has run here with the resin maker’s certificate on file; no V-0 polycarbonate or glass-filled nylon grade has run yet. Need a V-0 or glow-wire grade? Write it on the drawing and we quote the trial with it.

Which certificate and documents we can send today
ISO 9001:2015, certificate NVT 147210, issued by NVT Quality Certification International LLP, Bengaluru, valid to 14 March 2027, for the design, manufacture, supply and sales of plastic injection moulded components. The PDF is in the documents bar above.
Incoming, in-process and final inspection are documented per part; process parameters are logged at the machine through SCADA/HMI, with batch traceability where required.
REACH Article 33 and RoHS declarations for the grades we run come on request. Any UL, CE or UKCA marking belongs to the OEM who places the product on the market; Kruger supplies the moulded part with its material certificate and inspection record.
Terms, Incoterms and lead time
In India we invoice in rupees with GST credit, on terms of 45 days or less for new accounts. For export we quote FCA Chennai or FCA Nhava Sheva by default, DAP where costed, never DDP into the United States or the United Kingdom. First export orders run on letter of credit or advance payment; open account follows once an ECGC buyer limit is in place.
Every new tool is funded by you or transferred in, stays your property and is held here under bailment terms. Design, CAE mould-flow and managed tooling through partner toolrooms run under Kruger’s design authority. The published tooling cost bands are on the tooling cost guide; the tool transfer page covers a mould you already own.
Lead time is stated in each quotation once the tool and the resin are fixed. An insert-moulded cap and a 1300 tonne housing do not share one figure, so we do not publish one.
As of 20 October 2026, UK heading 8538.90 is 0% for every origin and heading 3926 is 0% for India under the CETA in force since 15 July 2026, as published on the UK Trade Tariff. Verify with your broker. The origin document your agreement needs is named in the quotation.
Who trusts Kruger with electrical and insert-moulded parts
Proof
A global connector manufacturer buys insert-moulded connector caps and terminations from the vertical machine, parts where a misplaced insert or a short shot means a field failure, so both are checked at the machine. The name appears here once written permission is received.
By sector, not by name: electrical panel enclosures moulded and assembled; 20 per cent glass-filled polypropylene air-filter housings for a global filtration OEM, supplied continuously since 2010; glass-filled nylon fan blades for a refrigeration manufacturer; every container and cover for the industrial batteries of our sister company, Microtex Energy Private Limited.
