A traction battery fails first at the plug: heat, corrosion and a thousand couplings concentrate exactly where the current does. Why buy connectors from a moulder
In a connector, the housing is not packaging — it is the insulation, the strain relief, the polarisation and the thing that survives being dropped, dragged and coupled ten times a shift. Most connector traders buy their housings; Kruger moulds them, in the same plant that produces insert-moulded electrical components for connector and enclosure customers. The metal does the conducting; the polymer does the surviving — and the polymer is our trade.

The failure physics — and the number that answers it
The most significant connector-borne failure in a battery is resistance at the joint: a high-resistance connection heats under load, heat accelerates corrosion, and corrosion raises resistance further — a spiral that quietly destroys battery performance and gets blamed on the cells. Our answer is measurable: crimped joints proven in load testing to pull strengths in excess of 500 kg, with a curated specification and test-results document supplied against your enquiry — evidence, not adjectives.
Electric vehicles — the welded class
EV and high-voltage connector systems belong to a different joining discipline: where a traction plug is crimped, EV terminations demand sophisticated, consistent, high-quality resistance welding — joints that must carry high current through vibration and thermal cycling without ever starting the resistance spiral. That welding expertise exists within the group.
