What Kruger moulds, on which machines
Kruger moulds thermoplastic parts from 10 g to 5.2 kg on nine injection moulding machines: eight horizontal machines of 60, 180, 200, 480, 650, 720, 850 and 1300 tonnes clamp force, and one vertical machine for insert moulding, all with servo drives and SCADA/HMI process monitoring. Battery containers run on the 480 to 850 tonne machines and their covers on the 180 and 200 tonne machines. The vertical machine moulds connector caps around placed metal inserts.
Materials: polypropylene and PP copolymer, 20% glass-filled polypropylene, polycarbonate, nylon 6 and 66 unfilled and 15% and 30% glass-filled, ABS, HDPE and PET. Product design and CAE mould-flow analysis come before steel is cut, with managed tooling through partner toolrooms under Kruger’s design authority. Insert moulding, ultrasonic welding, pad and screen printing, sub-assembly and packing are done on site. Thermoplastics only; nothing above 5.2 kg or 1300 tonnes. Battery containers and covers
2V cell containers in BS and DIN sizes and 12V monobloc containers, covers and vent plugs in PPCP, for the group’s battery companies and other battery makers. Where a size is already tooled, samples come from the existing mould; where it needs a new mould, we build it against your committed volume, with the mould owned by you or amortised in the piece price.
Electrical enclosures and insert moulding
Insert-moulded connector caps and terminations on the vertical machine, and electrical panel enclosures moulded and assembled, ready to install.
HVAC and refrigeration
Two fan-blade families in 15% glass-filled nylon for a refrigeration manufacturer, in volume production, and ABS enclosures for room air-conditioning equipment.
Tool transfer and spare capacity
Bring a mould you own: incoming inspection, bench check, T1 trial and a first-article report before parts ship. Job work on the 650 to 1300 tonne band.
Railways
Polycarbonate coach window louvers, right and left hand, and nylon door guides, moulded to coach integrators’ drawings on existing moulds.
Automotive filtration
Air-filter housings in 20% glass-filled polypropylene for a global filtration OEM, supplied continuously since 2010 to six of its plants. New automotive, off-highway and genset OEMs are welcome to send a drawing.
Robotics and automation enclosures
Non-sterile ABS and polycarbonate enclosures, covers and panels for automation and device OEMs.
The certificate and documents we can send today
Kruger is certified to ISO 9001:2015, certificate NVT 147210, issued by NVT Quality Certification International LLP and valid to 14 March 2027, for the design, manufacture, supply and sales of plastic injection moulded components. The PDF is in the documents panel above. With the offer we send material certificates for the grades we run, certificates of conformance and inspection reports where the order requires them, and an NDA on request. Inspection is documented per part at incoming, in-process and final stages. Ask in the enquiry for anything your vendor portal needs beyond this.
Terms, Incoterms and the one time promise we publish
Indian accounts are invoiced in rupees with GST, on terms of 45 days or less for a new account. We quote FCA Chennai or FCA Nhava Sheva by default, DAP where costed, never DDP into the United States or the United Kingdom. First export orders run on letter of credit or advance payment; open account follows once an ECGC buyer limit is in place. Duty and the certificate of origin route for your country go in the quotation.
Every new tool is customer-funded or transferred in, stays the customer’s property, and is held at Kruger under bailment terms. The four published tooling cost bands are on the tooling cost guide. Lead times are stated in the quotation. The one time promise we publish is the 48-hour DFM reply on working days, from Madhusudhan, our Head of Production. For battery containers and covers, where a size is already tooled, samples come from the existing mould; where it needs a new mould, we build it against your committed volume.
