Environment, Social and Governance at Kruger Industries

OEM buyers in the EU and the United States increasingly qualify suppliers on ESG criteria alongside quality and price. This page answers those questionnaires the way we answer everything: specifically, in writing, with the entity named for every claim. Where a fact belongs to our sister company rather than to Kruger, we say so.

Who we are, precisely

Kruger Industries is a family-owned partnership founded in 2004 in Peenya Industrial Area, Bengaluru — a precision plastic injection moulding company with nine machines from 60 to 1,300 tonnes, certified to ISO 9001:2015 (certificate 147210, NVT Quality Certification, valid to 14 March 2027; scope: design, manufacture, supply and sales of plastic injection moulded components). We are part of the Microtex Group, an Indian industrial manufacturing group founded in 1969. Our sister company, Microtex Energy Private Limited, designs and builds industrial batteries; Kruger moulds precision plastics, including every container and cover those batteries use. We export to the Middle East and Australia, and our first United States export order is in production.

Environment

Material efficiency, settled in writing

Injection moulding’s first environmental duty is not wasting polymer. Our regrind policy is public and contractual: what may be reground, at what percentage, for which parts, is settled in writing with every customer — never improvised on the shop floor. Runners and rejects are segregated by material and either reprocessed within the agreed policy or sold to authorised plastic recyclers.

Statutory environmental compliance

• Consent to Operate from the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board under the Water and Air Acts.
• Our products are durable engineering components, not packaging — outside EPR obligations under the Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 (as amended). We assist customers with compliance data for their own obligations instead.
• Injection moulding at Kruger uses no process water discharge — cooling is closed-loop — and generates no process emissions requiring consent beyond the KSPCB scope.

Energy

Our energy programme is at the measurement stage: machine-wise consumption logging began in 2025, and servo-driven motors have been retrofitted to all existing machines.

Social

Labour practices

• All employment is formal: Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) registrations current, wages at or above Karnataka minimum wage, working hours per the Factories Act, 1948.
• No child labour and no forced labour — an absolute rule, verifiable in our statutory registers at any audit.
• Internal Committee under the POSH Act, 2013 (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) constituted.
• Factory licence under the Factories Act from the Karnataka Directorate of Factories & Boilers.

Safety

• PPE is issued and its use enforced on the floor.
• Machine guarding is installed on all nine machines.
• Mould changes follow a written safety procedure and are fully motorised — an overhead crane handles every mould; nothing is lifted manually.
• First-aid-trained staff are available on site.
• The accident register is maintained as required by the Inspector of Factories and is available at audit. No reported accidents in the last five years.
• Fire and emergency mock drills are conducted at the Microtex compound, within which the Kruger plant operates. A separate Fire NOC is not mandated for this unit under applicable Karnataka norms.

People

We are deliberately a family-run company: the partners who quote your part are on the floor where it is moulded. Training is apprenticeship-style, operator to operator, with machine-specific skill records.

Governance

• Quality governance: ISO 9001:2015 quality management system; first-article inspection, in-process records and machine-health audits are described publicly in our quality paper-trail guide — we publish the standard we expect to be audited against.
• Business ethics: we do not pay or accept bribes, we do not engage in anti-competitive arrangements, and our accounts are audited annually under Indian law.
• Your IP is protected: NDAs signed before drawings move; customer-owned moulds are marked, stored and returned on demand — mould ownership terms are stated in writing in every tooling quotation, a practice our tooling guide describes publicly.
• Supplier codes of conduct: we review and sign customer codes of conduct as part of onboarding.

What we hold, entity by entity

Kruger’s ISO 14001 (environmental) and ISO 45001 (occupational health & safety) certifications are in progress as part of a group-wide Integrated Management System programme, targeted for completion in early 2027. We publish the status honestly rather than claiming the certificate early.

We complete customer ESG questionnaires and self-assessments, host supplier audits at the Peenya plant with reasonable notice, and answer in writing with the document behind every answer.
